What Is WC Account Portal?

4 min readUpdated October 31, 2026

WC Account Portal replaces the WooCommerce My Account page with a full-page customer portal in Material Design 3. Your customers get a clean, app-like account area for their orders, downloads, addresses and account details, and you get one settings page to brand it, arrange it and translate it.

What changes for your customers#

When the plugin is active, the page WooCommerce uses as the account page opens as a full-page portal. Your theme’s header and footer are not shown there, so the account area looks the same whatever theme you use.

  • Dashboard with widgets you arrange: a welcome or profile card, summary boxes, shortcuts, recent orders, next subscription payment, a getting started checklist, Buy again, help and contact details, and your own content.
  • Orders with progress steps (Placed, Paid, Preparing, Completed), shipment tracking from supported tracking plugins, a Buy again button, and search and a status filter for customers with more than 5 orders.
  • Login, registration and password pages in the portal design, with a choice of four login page layouts and bot protection.
  • Light, dark and auto mode, with a switch customers can use to pick their own.
  • A menu that fits the screen: sidebar, top tabs, icon rail or floating dock on computers and tablets; a menu button or a bottom tab bar on phones.
  • Languages: the customer-facing text is translated into 20 languages, and right-to-left languages get a mirrored layout.

What you can set up#

Everything is on one settings page: WooCommerce > Account Portal. The main things you can do there:

AreaWhat you can do
DesignPick a theme style, brand colours, light and dark logos, button shape, login page layout and menu layout. Generate a full brand theme with an AI prompt, or add your own CSS.
MenuSwitch WooCommerce’s account pages on or off, rename and reorder them, add custom links and your own pages, choose an icon for each (about 380 built-in icons, or upload your own SVG icons), and choose which roles see each item.
DashboardDrag, resize and switch widgets on or off, with a separate layout per role or customer group if you need one.
Text and languagesChange the page title, welcome text, login tagline and announcement bar, and translate them per language with WPML or Polylang.
ExtrasAdd to home screen (install the account page like an app), an announcement bar, an account nav drawer for the rest of your site, customer profile photos and settings export and import.
SecurityhCaptcha, reCAPTCHA v2 or v3, Cloudflare Turnstile, or Nahnu Login Shield on the login, registration and lost password forms.

Plugins it works with#

The portal shows the account pages that other plugins add to My Account inside its own design, and adds Dashboard numbers or dedicated pages for many of them:

  • Subscriptions: WooCommerce Subscriptions, YITH, SUMO and WP Swings subscriptions.
  • Memberships: WooCommerce Memberships, SureMembers, Paid Memberships Pro, MemberPress, YITH Membership, Paid Member Subscriptions, Restrict Content Pro, WishList Member and MemberDash.
  • Wishlists: YITH and TI wishlists.
  • Points: WooCommerce and YITH Points and Rewards.
  • Wholesale and B2B: B2BKing, WholesaleX, Whols, Wholesale For WooCommerce, WooCommerce Wholesale Pro and WPC B2B & Wholesale.
  • Shipment tracking: WooCommerce Shipment Tracking and Advanced Shipment Tracking (free and Pro).
  • Login security: Nahnu Login Shield for two-factor login, passkeys and email login links.

WooCommerce > Account Portal > Integrations lists the supported plugins and shows which ones are active on your site.

Good to know#

  • Your data stays in WooCommerce. The portal changes how the account pages look and adds features around them. Orders, addresses, downloads and customer accounts are still WooCommerce’s own.
  • Account pages are kept out of search engines. The portal marks them noindex and nofollow.
  • Some pages are left alone. If the account page uses a blank canvas template from a page builder or funnel plugin (for example Elementor Canvas or a CartFlows template), the portal does not take it over. You can also list pages under Excluded Pages on the General tab.
  • No web fonts are loaded. The portal uses each visitor’s system font. You can set your own font with custom CSS on the Appearance tab.
  • The license is for updates and support. Every feature works on your site; activating your license adds automatic updates.
